Groundbreaking for SES’s new facility at Luxembourg Space Campus

A new milestone has been reached at the Luxembourg Space Campus in Kockelscheuer with the groundbreaking ceremony for SES’s future Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) facility.

The ceremony brought together numerous institutional representatives and project partners. Max Didier, Managing Director of CDCL, was also present to mark the official start of this new phase.

The future facility will provide SES with dedicated satellite assembly, integration and testing capabilities in Luxembourg. This strategic project will contribute to the continued development and strengthening of Luxembourg’s space ecosystem.

CDCL, construction partner for the project

As the contractor responsible for the construction of this new facility, CDCL is proud to bring its expertise and the know-how of its teams to this ambitious project.

Following this symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, the project now enters its construction phase, with completion scheduled for December 2027.

We would like to thank SES for its trust, as well as all the partners contributing to the successful delivery of this major project at the Luxembourg Space Campus.

Now, it’s time to build!
