Today, the company has some 500 employees whose experience and versatility allow CDCL to take on the most ambitious technical challenges. Structural work activities i.e. building, civil engineering, roads and utilities, date back to CDCL’s roots and form part of the company’s core business. However, CDCL has been diversifying for over 30 years now and has developed its 'all trades' activities offering our clients total management of their projects. This ranges from analysing your needs and drawing up project descriptions (worksheets) to all-inclusive completion and after-sales services provided throughout the guarantee period and beyond.
Every project submitted to us is run by a works manager and/or project leader who take(s) full responsibility in terms of deadlines, quality and cost. On the site, a manager (works supervisor or site manager) oversees the work done by the production workforce, which is split into teams of 10 to 12 people.
The CDCL production workforce specialising in structural works is led by our team leaders.
For 'all trades' projects, CDCL subcontracts activities other than structural works to its network of efficient and dependable partners.
CDCL regularly inspects and monitors the work being carried out, right up until the turnkey delivery of the structure.
All projects are executed with the assistance of CDL's support services. Offsite from our head office: machinery and truck logistics (from our Bertrange depot), equipment and reinforcements (from our Leudelange depot); Onsite at our head office: Studies and Methods.
Proof of quality
CDCL (Compagnie de Construction Luxembourgeoise) is committed to QUALITY, SAFETY and the ENVIRONMENT (QSE) and aims to guarantee the satisfaction of our clients, employees and interested parties. Our commitment is reflected in our desire to continually improve the efficiency of our QSE management system and know-how.
CDCL’s QUALITY policy has been recognised by ISO 9001: 2008 certification since 2009. This standard is a tried and tested framework for adopting a systematic approach to managing our processes in such a way as to consistently supply products that meet our clients’ expectations.
Our awareness of dangers and health and safety risks for our employees, as well as the environmental aspects and impacts of our business has been recognised by ISO 14001 certification: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007 received in 2010. This Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system enables us to:
- identify and control the impact of our activities and products on the environment,
- identify and control health and safety dangers and risks to our employees,
- continuously improve our HSE performance,
- implement a systematic approach to define HSE objectives and targets, achieve them and ensure that they are complied with.
